Meet Ginny
Creating experiences that deepen your connection to feeling joy in your body.

Ginny has a passion for Pilates because she loves creating experiences for people that deepen their connection to feeling joy in their bodies.
Heavily influenced by dance, qi gong, and yoga, her sessions weave together flow, strength, and grace. What emerges is a practice that feels both grounding and elevating — a space where you can come home to your body.
After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in philosophy and cognitive science, Ginny completed a yoga training and has since dedicated herself to the fields of wellness, fitness, and education.
With thousands of hours of training in Pilates, anatomy, yoga, bodywork, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, she brings a rare depth and integration to her work. This isn't just about exercise — it's rooted in a belief that movement is medicine.
The Philosophy
Embodiment is the acknowledgment that we are physical beings in a physical body — and that honoring this body, caring for it, and learning to listen to its messages is a path to growth.
Ginny's approach lives at the intersection of biomechanics and energy — the precise mechanics of how your body moves, and the holistic dimension of how mind, body, and spirit work together.
There is a philosophy behind movement. It's not just about what you do with your body, but how you inhabit it. Every session is an invitation to explore this relationship more deeply.
Training & Approach
Classical Foundation
Sessions are grounded in traditional Pilates — the original method Joseph Pilates designed to be taught one-on-one in a personalized, intimate setting. Using all the traditional apparatus (reformer, tower, and chair), Ginny brings this classical foundation to every session.
Integrative Practice
What makes Ginny's work unique is the integration of her extensive training in other body-centered healing modalities — craniosacral therapy, yoga, massage, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. These influences naturally weave into sessions when called for.
Personalized Attention
Every session is tailored to what exactly you need on that particular day. Ginny observes how you move, studies your patterns, and designs a practice specifically for your body. This is bio-mechanical precision meeting intuitive care.
Energetic Awareness
Beyond the physical, Ginny works with the energetic dimension — helping clients regulate, ground, and reconnect. She creates a space where you can arrive however you are and leave feeling centered, empowered, and like your best self.
The Studio
Embodied Pilates is a boutique studio located in Burlingame — a warm, lightful space designed for focused, personalized work.
Equipped with traditional Pilates apparatus including the reformer, tower, and chair, the studio offers an intimate setting for private sessions and small groups.
